Best Doctoral Thesis Dissertation
CLASTA (Communication and Language Acquisition Studies in typical and atypical populations Association) is granting two awards of 500 euros each to the best doctoral thesis dissertation focused on issues related to: typical and atypical development of communication and language (in their different forms and modalities of expression); interactions between language development and other developmental domains; the role of individual and environmental factors on the development of communication and language; design and/or validation of assessment tools for communicative-linguistic skills; interventions for children on communication and language and the evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions.
Dissertations, referring to the years 2020 and 2021, should be submitted to giornateclasta@gmail.com by 11 April 2022. The awards ceremony will take place during the CLASTA Days on 13 May 2022.

Best Poster Award
CLASTA announces the 2022 Best Poster Award. The best poster presented at the CLASTA conference 2022 in Florence (May 13th-14th) by a member of the association, who is at the early steps of their professional career (e.g., Ph.D. student, post-doc or graduate fellow, graduate in training) will be awarded. CLASTA association reserves the right to communicate the amount of the prize and any sponsors who will support the prize as soon as possible. CLASTA association could also award other works worthy of a Special Mention with prizes that will be soon communicated.

CLASTA organizes every year a two-day conference (Giornate CLASTA) that gathers researchers and practitioners working within the field of language and communication development in typical and atypical populations. The Giornate CLASTA include keynote lectures, thematic symposia and poster sessions.
Since 2014, CLASTA has also been promoting a working group that includes more than 20 Associations, Organizations, and Institutions, for the implementation of a Consensus Conference on primary language impairment. The Consensus Conference is organized in collaboration with the Federation of Italian Speech and Language Therapists.
