Best Ph.D Dissertation
The CLASTA Association is granting one award of 500 euros to the best Ph.D. dissertation (calendar years 2022) focused on issues related to: typical and atypical development of communication and language in their different forms and modalities; the interactions between language development and other developmental domains, the role of individual and environmental factors on communication and language development, design and/or validation of tools for assessing communicative-linguistic skills, language and communication interventions for children with typical and atypical development and evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions.
Doctoral dissertations, relating to Ph.D. courses completed in the calendar year 2022 at a university located in Italy, must be sent in pdf format to giornateclasta@gmail.com by 1st April 2023. The awards ceremony will take place during the CLASTA Days on 19 May 2023.
Best Poster Award
CLASTA association announces the 2023 Best Poster Award. The best poster presented at the conference CLASTA 2023 (May 19th-20th 2023) by a member of the association who is at the early steps of his/her professional career (e.g., Ph.D. student, post-doc or graduate fellow, graduate in training) will be awarded.
CLASTA organizes every year a two-day conference (Giornate CLASTA) that gathers researchers and practitioners working within the field of language and communication development in typical and atypical populations. The Giornate CLASTA include keynote lectures, thematic symposia and poster sessions.
Since 2014, CLASTA has also been promoting a working group that includes more than 20 Associations, Organizations, and Institutions, for the implementation of a Consensus Conference on primary language impairment. The Consensus Conference is organized in collaboration with the Federation of Italian Speech and Language Therapists.
